Francisca Martinez is Chief Human Resources Officer & Technology for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Marriott International. She is a strategic partner to the EMEA President and Executive Leadership Team, with responsibility for Human Resources, Strategy & Planning, and Information Technology across the region. Her role focuses on aligning people, strategy, and technology to support growth, transformation, and long‑term business performance. Francisca joined Marriott in 2000 and has held a range of senior leadership roles across the company, including Vice President of Talent Management at The Ritz‑Carlton and Vice President, Talent Acquisition & Employer Brand at Marriott International headquarters in the United States. She has played a pivotal role in major enterprise initiatives, including the successful integration of Starwood Hotels into the Marriott portfolio and the development of innovative global talent and technology‑enabled solutions. Prior to joining Marriott, Francisca held human resources roles with Bristol‑Myers Squibb and the Ministry of Social Affairs in Spain. She holds a Master’s degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
