Byron Clayton has served as Pandora’s Chief Human Resources Officer since February 2023 and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team. He holds an extensive global track record and operational experience.
Before joining Pandora, Byron was Deputy Chief People Officer at IKEA, where he supported their global retail workforce. He has also held senior HR leadership roles at Nokia, Microsoft, Maersk, AstraZeneca, and Mercer.
Byron is committed to creating workplaces where people feel they belong, want to stay, and have clear growth opportunities. In addition to leading Pandora’s global people strategy, Byron holds the responsibility for the company’s sustainability agenda, ensuring Pandora delivers on its commitments to ethical practices, responsible sourcing, and environmental impact reduction. This includes using 100% recycled silver and gold, using solely lab-grown diamonds, and powering operations worldwide with renewable electricity. Since 2019, Pandora has increased its revenue with 45%, while reducing its CO2 footprint with 17%.
A US citizen, Byron’s career has taken him around the world. He has lived and worked in the US, Singapore, Thailand, Finland, Denmark, and the UK. He holds a master’s degree in strategy and leadership from London Business School and bachelor’s degrees in human resources and psychology from the University of North Texas.
