Of course, we all know women make 50% of the world population, of school students, of college graduates. And we all agree that they should comprise 50% of the workforce too. But the number remains elusive for most companies. They say what gets measured gets done, but even though gender is the one parameter that can be legally tracked by companies, it’s still a slow needle to move. The situation gets even more complicated when we start talking about ethnic diversity, people with disabilities and other demographics. Through this thought provoking talk, I share insights from my global career and research on how to make it happen. I take an intersectional approach and recommend an actionable path inspired by technology for leaders because each company has what it takes to crack the code to create the workforce of the future.
